The Dr. Gerald J Friedman Infant Malnutrition Intervention Program
Malnutrition was identified as a serious problem in the slum area of Bhaskar Nagar where Gabriel Project works. Through the generous support of Dr . Friedman, the local community kitchen was trained to prepare a special powdered mix comprising of nutritious grains and nuts. This is administered by the medical staff to families with children suffering from severe or acute malnutrition
Medical guidance and periodic monitoring by our partners Doctors For You, helps to ensure that the children are consuming this formula regularly. This program is implemented through Shravan Health Center in Bhaskar Nagar. The works helps us realise that even a simple supplement is often capable of saving lives and securing a healthy happy future for these children.
